Lacy Magee - Owner/Walker

Howdy ya'll! My name is Lacy and Im the owner, operator and dog walker for The Katy Dog Walkers. Im engaged to a wonderful man named Marko who sometimes helps out with visits. We are also proud parents to a wild toddler. Ive been an animal lover my entire life. I grew up with all sorts of pets including dogs, cats, fish & birds. As a kid instead of playing with Barbies, I played with their pets. I felt it was my duty to bring in all the stray animals I came across. My mom was not too thrilled about that. My love for animals comes natural as they are interesting, intelligent and unconditional lovers. I knew from day one that whatever I wanted to be "when I grew up" had to involve animals. In 2012 I became a full time pet sitter for four years in Katy TX. I absolutely loved every moment of my job and took pride in what I did. We made the decision to move to Washington summer of 2016. It was hard to leave all my beloved clients behind but this was my chance to combine my experience and passion for animals into my own investment. I owned and operated my own successful pet sitting company in Washington for a year. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to make the move back to Katy. From there The Katy Dog Walkers was founded.

Tell Us About Your Pets.

I have four pets at the moment. Meeka is my 6 year old Husky. She is my golden girl. Kaya is my rescued Australian Shepherd/Husky mix. She is adventures and the sweetest little furball you'll ever meet.  Then theres Mordecai, my 2 year old African Grey parrot. He loves mimicking my ringtone so I can run across the room answering "ghost" calls. Last but not least there was Pretty Boy. He was my grandmothers senior Cockatiel. He lived out his senior years with me when my nanny was no longer able to care for him. He passed away in June 2017.

Whats Your Favorite Thing About Walking Dogs?

I love walking dogs because I get to be outside while spending time with animals, two of my favorite things in life! Creating a bond with each dog is a very rewarding experience. I love to see each of their individual personalities shine through.

For Fun I Enjoy...

I love hiking and trying new restaurants. Theres just something so satisfying about trying new things out for yourself. I also enjoy sun bathing and going on adventures with my own dogs and family.

If you had to eat the same meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Thats easy, Pad Thai with fried tofu and a Thai iced tea. I eat Thai at least once every two weeks. Yum yum.

What is one hope or dream you have for your future?

A goal of mine that I'm accomplishing little by little is to travel to every country around the world. I also want to live in Asia and South America for a few months or a year.
